Account Manager

We have an opening for an Account Manager to join our growing team in our Manhattan office. Responsible for overall client engagement, the Account Manager oversees client projects from start to finish with the goal of exceeding client expectations. They work internally to conceptualize PR programs, accurately forecast budgets, present concepts to clients and execute according to plan.

Successful candidates have a minimum of 5 years’ agency experience and possess outstanding creative campaign concept development, project management and people management skills. Candidates must also have strong relationships with mainstream and industry media and influencers in either high-tech or creative markets.

Responsibilities

  • Translate client goals into successful PR/marketing programs using strategic thinking
  • Drive programs from inception to completion internally and externally; analyze performance, make actionable changes and present results
  • Ensure campaigns and respective budgets are scoped appropriately and revenue is managed accurately
  • Evolve relationships with key media and influencers across all platforms
  • Collaborate with managing partners on developing new business opportunities
  • Mentor and manage account executives and account coordinators

Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience conceptualizing and implementing forward-thinking PR and marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience managing clients and leading internal teams
  • Established relationships with key media and influencers across mainstream and industry outlets
  • Must have an understanding of and passion for the media/technology industry, interest in digital media trends and pop culture
  • Minimum 5 years’ agency experience required

Vice President, Strategy

The VP of Strategy possesses outstanding methodological, project management and people management skills. Responsible for overall client strategy, the VP of Strategy oversees client engagements from start to finish with the goal of exceeding client expectations. The VP of Strategy also spearheads the firm’s major business development initiatives, working internally to conceptualize PR programs, accurately forecast budgets and billable hours, and present concepts to clients. Internally, the VP of Strategy also contributes significantly to the firm’s marketing, infrastructure and P&L management.

Requirements:

  • Translate client goals into successful programs using strategic thinking
  • Drive programs from inception to completion internally and externally; analyze performance, make actionable changes and present results
  • Ensure campaigns and respective budgets are scoped appropriately and revenue is managed accurately
  • Lead new business opportunities; answer RFPs and deliver pitch presentations

Senior Account Executive

We have an opening for a Senior Account Executive to join our growing team in the downtown Boston office. Successful candidates will have extensive experience in creative campaign concept development and building relationships with media and influencers. Candidates must be proactive, extremely organized and deadline-oriented with client management experience in at least one of the following markets: technology (consumer or enterprise), lifestyle or luxury brands.

Responsibilities and Required Skills

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Zazil Account Directors on client strategy and campaign development and delivery
  • Work with both clients and Zazil internal teams to execute day-to-day campaign deliverables
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media and influencers
  • Provide mentoring and direction for account executives and account coordinators
  • Assist Account Directors in pitching new business opportunities

Required Skills:

  • Three to five years experience in an agency setting
  • Exceptional communications skills – presentation and written
  • Ability to collaborate on campaign research and concept development; drive campaign implementation internally and externally
  • Ability to measure and analyze campaigns results
  • Strong media relations experience with established media and influencer relationships
  • Knowledge of SEO, branded content and social media platforms
  • Experience mentoring junior team members

Fall Internship 2017

Zazil Media Group, a creative PR/marketing communications agency, is seeking interns for the fall 2017 semester to work on a number of client deliverables, including media relations, corporate/creative writing, event planning, social media content, and research.

The interns will work with the partners, senior account executives and account executives on various editorial campaigns, including research, media list building and maintenance, client coverage reports, and much more. Previous media relations experience is a big plus.

The interns will also work on a number of writing assignments, including but not limited to, press releases, blog posts, customer stories/case studies, newsletters and media pitches. Candidates should be an ace with grammar and have AP style rules committed to memory. Content will vary from very creative to very corporate, so candidates should be able to use varying tones. Topics covered will include general technology, photography, filmmaking, broadcast, animation, postproduction, consumer electronics and consumer goods.

The ideal candidates are motivated, well-organized, and eager to learn about the agency nature. He/she must be comfortable working with tight deadlines, multitasking, and keeping cool under pressure. Must possess great communication and presentation skills. This position will require at least 24 hours per week.
